Olli Caldwell will be back in race action for Muecke Motorsport this weekend at Mugello for the penultimate round of the Italian F4 Championship

Less than a week after finishing his British F4 Championship, Challenge Cup campaign - Olli Caldwell will be flying out to Italy and the Mugello Circuit for a return to Italian F4 racing action.

Caldwell be acclimatising himself once again with the Tatuus F4 machinery and Abarth power-plant in the Italian F4, Muecke Motorsport prepared machinery - after he spent the last few weeks onboard his Mygale Ford Eco-Boost TRS Arden British F4 car competing in the UK.

Caldwell will be once again be aiming to finish as the top runner out of the Italian F4 Rookie Drivers, after impressive performances last time out at Mugello when the series visited the track earlier in the season.
Last time out he qualified an impressive 14th in both sessions in a grid that had over 20 drivers, some much more experienced than the YRDA star who has only been racing in F4 since July this season.
Caldwell managed a pair of Rookie Class podiums at Mugello and will be aiming to repeat and even better that feat this weekend coming after a few more races experience under his belt.
He then went onto take two 11th place finishes and a 13th in the three races held earlier in the year - earning himself a brace of Rookie Podium finishes in the process after showing excellent tyre management and racecraft to hold off his rivals.

Olli Caldwell: "I'm excited to get back into the Italian F4 car. I have been in the British F4 car for quite a long time over the last month but I am aiming to hit the ground running right from the first session of the weekend.
Last time we came to Mugello I really enjoyed the circuit, it is a long lap where you have to piece together a lot of corners and get in a real rhythmn to get the absolute maximum over one lap and the race.
We came away with two Rookie Podiums last time, the aim is to match and better that stat this weekend."

The event will be streamed live on the ACI Italian F4 Website, with links to Live Timing and the Live Stream being posted on Olli's social media platforms this week, as well as regular updates from the pre-race test.

Stay tuned to find out how he gets on, in his return to European F4 race action.
