Olli Caldwell will make his debut in the Italian F4 championships this weekend with Mucke Motorsport as the series heads to Vallelunga for it’s third round.

This will be Olli’s second race in F4 after making his British F4 debut at Croft two weeks ago. With his birthday on the Sunday Olli wasn’t allowed to take part in qualifying or race one so this essentially will be his first full race weekend.

It’s hard to predict exactly how it will go, but given his impressive test at Vallelunga last week Olli is confident a good result could be on the cards. It was Olli’s first visit to the track and he ended the two-day test in 5th place just 0.290 seconds away from the top of the time sheet.

One thing he is aiming for is to finish as high up the rookie order as he can. So far there has been nine rookies racing of the 28 entries, with four more coming in this weekend (including Olli).

That said it will be new territory so Olli won’t be hoping to put himself under too much pressure and will be hoping to bed himself in during the first weekend. Having
missed the first two weekends of the championship, a rookie title assault is off the cards but Olli will be hoping to improve over the course of the season.

It’s going to be tough racing and a longer format than Olli is used to. The series runs three 30-minute races over the weekend, which is longer than any race Olli has
done before but he was impressive during his race simulations at the Vallelunga race last week.

Olli Caldwell:
"I'm really looking forward to this weekend! We were really fast at the official test and I hope we can reflect that in the races and qualifying."

The event will be streamed live on WSK Promotion with links going out on Olli’s website and social media.
